Pre-Arrival - A new client found your website on the Internet or a business brochure on the ferry or an ad in their favourite magazine and booked a trip, tour or stay. Did you send them a Welcome Folder with a letter (on your stationary with your logo etc.), travel and area information, maps, a list of "what to bring" and "Things to do" and your business card?
On Arrival - Did your client find a personalized Welcome Card along with the mints on their pillow? Did their room or your office have racks with your brochures, business cards, free postcards and pens (with your logo of course)? Did you give them the opportunity to purchase merchandise that will continue to advertise your business long after they have left: shopping bags, water bottles, travel mugs, key rings, fleece vests and hats etc.?
Post-Departure - This is where the marketing ball is most often dropped. The idea here is to "keep in touch". A follow-up e-mail is essential to make sure they are happy with their experience with your business. "And oh, by the way, do you mind writing a few words about your stay/trip/tour that we can use as a testimonial?" You can also ask them if they would like to sign up for your Newsletter so they are the first to know about specials for returning clients and referrals. This gives you permission to e-mail them.

BYOB - Bring Your Own Bottle

The City of Campbell River's new Special Events Water Kiosk debuted on Wednesday September 1st at the Sportsplex during the Movies under the Stars event. The kiosk, which was a huge success, is designed to supply free refills of cold Campbell River drinking water to anyone with a water bottle.
CR Metal Fabricators built the unit, an eco-friendly product created by Paul Wilson and WaterFillz.com, and Chameleon Creative was charged with the task of creating an eye catching design wrap for the kiosk. The final design was BYOB "Bring Your Own Bottle".
Our clients, Zinc PR and the City of Campbell River, were very pleased with the final product and look forward to bringing the kiosk to all Campbell River events.
